The FASTEST event on the Treasure Coast returns on May 17 & 18, 2014 at the Stuart Causeway and Ernie Lyons Bridge!
Get ready for an adrenaline pumping weekend filled with hydroplanes, race boats, powerboats, and bragging rights.
Organizers are planning an event filled with speed, excitement, and community invlolvement.
The races will once again be held on the Stuart Causeway on a 1.1 mile oval racecourse on the northern side of the Ernie Lyons Bridge.
After last year's test run, the SSR Board Of Directors is happy to announce they plan to close the Stuart Causeway once again with the approval of Sewall's Point town officials and other related agencies.
The expanded event site allows for more vendors and activities, including live music, the Miss Corona Light swimsuit contest, and the ultimate spectator viewing area on top of the bridge.
Visitors can expect a new and improved layout overall and additional food, beverage, and customer services.
The Stuart Sailfish Regatta will be open to ten classes of inboards, four classes of outboards, and the Powerboat P1 Superstock Series. Some of the nation's top tier racers plus a power team of 12 or more Canadian Grand Prix race boats will bring even more thrilling action to the water.
The races will be held Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm on both days.
Races will begin promptly at 9:30 AM
Children 10 & under are FREE!
Free parking will be available at Witham Field, 2011 SE Airport Road, Stuart. Complimentary transportation to the event from Witham Field will be provided as well.
